Premi Spice, nestled at 81 Abbey Rd in Dunscroft, Hatfield, Doncaster, is a standout gem for lovers of authentic South Indian cuisine. This charming restaurant invites you on a vibrant culinary journey through the rich, aromatic flavors of the southern regions of India, all served with a warm and welcoming ambiance.
The menu is a celebration of classic South Indian staples, skillfully prepared and brimming with flavor. Dosa enthusiasts are in for a treat with a diverse selection ranging from the crisp, golden Plain Dosa (£5.00) to the indulgently rich Ghee Dosa (£6.00), and the hearty Masala Dosa (£6.50) loaded with spiced potato filling. For those seeking a bit more flair, the Mysore Masala Dosa (£7.00) offers a mildly spiced experience, while the Premi Special Veg Dosa (£11.00) stands out as a generous, flavorful delight. Meat lovers can enjoy the robust Chicken Curry Dosa (£7.00) or the rich Mutton Curry Dosa (£8.00), each filled with tender, slow-cooked meat that elevates this thin, crispy crepe to an unforgettable treat.
The Pulled Chicken Uthapam (£8.00) provides a beautifully spongy texture topped with savory pulled chicken, while other delicacies such as the Egg Dosa (£7.00) add an extra layer of richness with a perfectly cooked egg crowning the dosa. Complement your meal with a warming cup of Masala Tea (£3.00) or the exotic Ceylon Special Tea (£3.99), which round out the experience with fragrant spices and full-bodied aromas.
But it’s not just the food that enchants. Premi Spice’s atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, where the staff’s genuine warmth and attentiveness make every diner feel like part of a community. The owner’s passion shines through, regularly recommending dishes that become immediate favorites. This personal touch, coupled with reasonably priced plates and generous portions, has won over locals and visitors alike.

Graeme Shepherd highlights the “tasty” dosa and the standout Sri Lankan kottu roti, attesting to the diverse and robust menu offerings.

I went to Premi Spice just to have a try after getting the reference from one of my friends. Though the location is far from my place but the food was very good, the quantity is really good; so, I can say prices are very reasonable. Service was good and the nice & ambient environment. I got poppadoms as freebies. All-in-all, I enjoyed and definitely would like to visit again..

Lovely food. onion bhaji starter was massive beware, had a dosa which was very tasty. My partners sri Lankan kottu roti was the star of the show. Service was nice but slow, and tables needed wiping.

We had an amazing family meal last night. The food is still amazing and the lovely team served our party of 12 with grace and ease. Even the kids loved trying something new. We heard about their amazing plans for the future which will include the same excellent food but something a bit special, so keep an eye on this place. Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely delicious. So very very tasty. We only managed to get photos of the starters. Onion bahji and chilli garlic prawns. The mains were outstanding, everything was very tantalising tasty. Great value for money. We couldn’t manage it all. We asked for doggy bags . The waitress brought us some containers to fill up with the leftovers. I would highly recommend a visit here. Be prepared for the large portions. They also do takeaway.

Ordered takeaway for one last night. Very generous portions have gotten two meals from it, though there is slightly less chicken in the curry than I would expect. Having never tasted Sri Lankan food before, I didn't know what to expect. It was delicious though, very fragrant like Indian food. I requested spicy and they understood the assignment, it was perfect. The delivery was smooth, courier very polite friendly and professional.
